What do you use to mark your golf ball?

I don’t know what you mark your ball with, but I like using the free markers that are provided to you at golf courses. I’ve noticed though, that a lot of golf courses are getting away from providing it for free. I don’t know how much it costs a golf course to make these plastic ball markers but I don’t think it’s a lot of money compared to what they charge for green fees.

I like collecting them as souvenirs. Some people like collecting logo balls. I used to do that too, but after collecting over a hundred balls from every course I’ve visited, what do you do with them all? They are brand new, never been played with and will never see the light of day. My wife likes collecting ball markers, not the free ones I like but the ones that you pay for in the pro shop. I would rather spend my money elsewhere than to buy ball markers. I have a thing about losing ball markers and worry about forgetting to pick it up from the green. That doesn’t make sense, does it? Why would I forget to pick it up? That’s like not knowing where to place my ball to make a putt. I guess that’s stupid but I’ve seen a lot of ball markers left behind from golfers like me.
